What to Wear
“The secret to great style is to feel good in what you wear”

Do’s and don’t for your portrait session
When getting ready for your photo session here are a few tips to consider when planning your family’s wardrobe:
Avoid bright colors & fluorescents, these colors do not photograph well and often cast colors on your skin.
A few of my favorite colors for photos are: mustard yellow, burnt orange, teals, deep reds such as burgundy, earthy greens, blues and off- white just to name a few.
Avoid logos, writing, cartoon characters etc.
For family photos I do suggest matching but not necessarily over-matching. For example: navy blue & white with some pops of color- maybe a mustard yellow or pale pink etc..
Keep most of the family in solid colors with 1-2 prints/patterns mixed in.
You want to be comfortable during your shoot so wear something that looks great, flatters and is also comfortable. For women/girls I love to see dresses, layers or items that flow and create texture.
I will be happy to help you decide on outfit choices if you feel you need a bit of guidance.
